Welcome to the University of Southampton Quantum Coherence network!

Southampton researchers are exploring theoretical and experimental aspects of quantum coherence in atoms, molecules, quantum gases and nanostructures. Our interests range from the exploitation of quantum coherence for new sensing and control technologies, to finding new fundamental insights into the boundary between quantum and classical regimes. Our research spans the Schools of Mathematics, Physics, Electronics & Computer Science and the Optoelectronics Research Centre, and draws extensively upon the capabilities of the Southampton Nanofabrication Centre.
